On a recent segment of Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle,” Laura Ingraham was joined by Tom Homan, former acting ICE director and a Fox News contributor, to discuss the tragic murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray in Houston, Texas, and the broader implications of illegal immigration and violent crimes.

Laura opened the segment with a grim update on the case. She reported that suspects Johann Jose Rangel Martinez and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, both illegal immigrants from Venezuela, had been arrested for the murder of Jocelyn. The suspects, who entered the United States illegally earlier this year and were released by Border Patrol, allegedly followed Jocelyn into a convenience store before strangling and killing her. Her body was later discovered in a creek.

Tom Homan confirmed that his sources verified the suspects’ illegal entry and subsequent release into the United States. He expressed outrage at the administration’s failure to secure the border, attributing the death of Jocelyn and other victims to this negligence. Homan painted a harrowing picture of Jocelyn’s final moments, emphasizing the terror she must have felt and condemning the administration for allowing such crimes to occur.

Laura highlighted the broader political implications, noting that Biden’s administration has focused on issues like January 6th and hush money convictions instead of addressing pressing concerns like border security. She questioned when liberal cities like Houston, Dallas, and Austin would start supporting policies that protect their residents.

Homan criticized the Biden administration’s handling of sanctuary cities, which he argued have become havens for criminals. He noted that these cities do not release the nationalities of their criminals, making it difficult to understand the full scope of the problem. Homan also criticized Republican congressmen who did not vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and called out Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer for stalling immigration reform.

Laura and Homan both called for more transparency and truth from the administration, urging Border Patrol whistleblowers to come forward. They accused Mayorkas of lying about border security and argued that the administration’s policies have emboldened criminals.

Homan concluded by stressing the need for a return to the policies of the Trump administration, which he credited with securing the border to the highest level ever. He argued that reinstating programs like the “Remain in Mexico” policy and ending “catch and release” would prevent such tragedies. Homan condemned the current administration’s approach as purposeful and harmful, suggesting that they view the resulting deaths as collateral damage in their broader political agenda.

Laura reiterated the urgency of securing the border and holding the administration accountable for its actions, calling for a renewed focus on protecting American lives.
