Leftist Teachers Unions Emboldened by Joe Biden Want More Lockdowns

But first, sacrificing your children. That’s the focus of tonight’s angle.

If there’s one thing that Democrats really want us to believe, it’s that they really, really care about the children.

But if they really cared about the children, they would all right now be demanding, that every school in the United States be immediately reopened for in-person learning.

They always also claim to be caring about science, but that’s only true when the science tracks with the left’s political agenda. Thus, they ignore the established truth that children have a minuscule risk of getting seriously ill from covid.

“The truth is for kids K through 12, one of the safest place they can be from our perspective is to remain in school,” said CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield.

But again, you can’t let indisputable facts get in the way of a good lockdown, can you?

With a Biden presidency right around the corner, teachers unions are working hard to keep schools closed. Now, case in point, today, the L.A. Teachers Union demanded that L.A. County impose an even stricter and longer lockdown that would last through the month of January. You know, when January comes, they’ll kick it over to the spring and then it will be the fall. They’re also demanding huge amounts of federal and state money to dole out to workers who would be forced to stay home. Oh, don’t worry. I’m sure they’re going to get a big cut of that as well.

Now, these left-wing loafers should be ashamed of themselves. They’re not only destroying businesses, they’re killing the kids.

It was reported earlier today that more Southern California children and teens killed themselves in the first eight months of the pandemic than in the same period last year. Suicides among minors doubled in San Bernardino County during distance learning.

But that doesn’t matter to the L.A. teachers unions, they’re holding students hostage, especially the underprivileged who are hurt the worst, of course, and the ransom? Medicare for all massive tax hikes, defunding the police and welfare for illegal aliens.

This horrific state of affairs, however, is not restricted to L.A.. This is playing out in cities and towns across the country.

Let’s go over to Chicago for a moment, the teachers union there asked the court to delay the reopening of lower schools, which was slated to begin in early January. Now, at one point, the Chicago Teachers Union claimed “the push to reopen schools was, quote, rooted in sexism, racism, and misogyny. That’s why we want to keep the schools open. Really?

Then explain why enrollment for black students this year is down, and is down nearly a third for Hispanic students. Again, the online learning thing. In fact, overall enrollment for Chicago schools saw the biggest decline in 20 years, thanks to online only learning. Kids are going to private schools if they can, or parochial Catholic schools as well. Now, this is catastrophic for the children and all of the children, for the America’s American competitiveness. Going forward, we need educated children who become educated adults.

But again, the Democrats are far more worried about offending the union bosses and losing their donations than they are about how this is hurting our kids. And if you think things are bad now, wait until they have a collaborator sitting in the Oval Office.

“We win this election, really get the support you need and the respect you deserve. You don’t just have a partner in the White House, you’ll have an engagement ring in the White House,” said President-elect Joe Biden.

And now we know he’s not just talking about Jill because one of the top contenders to lead the Department of Education under Biden is none other than American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten. Another contender is Leila Eskelsen García is a former NBA association president, the National Education Association president, the two biggest teachers unions, two top contenders for the education spot.

Do you really think either of those women has any interest in doing what’s best for your kids? They’ll only nationalize the madness we’re seeing in California and Illinois?

Sure, though, they’re going to pay lip service to the idea of reopening schools. We want to reopen schools as soon as possible, but only only if their list of demands is met.

We want schools reopened. We want them reopened safely, but we need to have the kind of infrastructure set up, teachers are going to need to be trained in dealing with the social emotional needs of those kids.

Every one of our teachers need to be trained. All right. That’s for sure. Maybe teaching real history of the United States of America, maybe the Constitution, maybe the declaration. And, of course, the price tag of all these new needs the schools will have will be astronomical.

“You’ve got to pay for this stuff. It was estimated that we could open those schools for somewhere around one hundred billion dollars, that would be the cost for a year,” said Joe Biden.

He talks about a hundred billion dollars like it’s nothing that’s coming from you, the taxpayer, to pad pensions, salaries of teachers in California and Illinois, they want to keep getting paid for, not actually teaching in person.

And they see Joe Biden as their golden goose.

We all need to demand that states and school boards do what’s best for our children and reopen those schools now. No money until the schools are reopened!

Now, the teachers unions and the Democrats, just can’t be allowed to trade our children’s health, education, welfare for their own obvious political gain. And I think really this represents for conservatives, an opportunity in blue states that continue to punish children and families with online learning. The message to low-income and working-class families, including minorities and immigrants, should be this: The Democrats claim to care about your kids, but actions speak louder than words, and their actions show you what they truly value. And it is an education.
