The Holiday that Horrifies the Left

It’s easier to say “Happy Fourth!” than it is to say “Happy Independence Day.” Yet what may have been an acceptable shorthand in years prior seems woefully inadequate today.

With the Biden Administration and its Big Tech cronies threatening our freedoms—from free speech to gun rights—we need to recall and reinvigorate the true significance of this Independence Day. Part of doing this requires that we must say it very plainly—the Democrat Party is infected with vicious anti-Americanism. And they will do anything to achieve their goals.

Post-Trump, the Left has become a caricature of itself. As John Nolte points out in Breitbart, they’re now coming for air-conditioning. A Time magazine columnist is bemoaning the inequality inherent in AC:

Privatized air-conditioning survived the ozone crisis, but its power to separate—by class, by race, by nation, by ability—has survived, too. Comfort for some comes at the expense of the life on this planet.

It’s time we become more comfortable with discomfort.

Let’s be clear: the Greeniacs have never liked the idea that Americans could buy air conditioners. They’ve never liked the idea that Americans could drive their own cars. They’ve never liked the idea that Americans could have large, comfortable houses in the suburbs. For the climate change crowd, getting rid of these examples of American comfort is not a “sacrifice.” It’s something they’ve always wanted to do anyway. They wanted to do most of these things back during the so-called “energy crisis” of the 1970’s. Now they’re going to use climate change as the excuse. But the policy outcome is always the same: poorer Americans, with lower standards of living, who are forced to become more dependent on the government.

Always remember: when Americans are peaceful and prosperous, the Left is miserable.
