WHO’s Global Plans Face Criticism Over Surveillance and U.S. Funding Role
Dr. Peter McCullough, a prominent internist and cardiologist, recently joined ‘The Ingraham Angle,’ to address the ongoing threats posed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the potential implications of a proposed “pandemic treaty.”
Ingraham began by highlighting concerns over the draft treaty’s emphasis on combating “disinformation.”
“You know that people like Bill Gates are very serious about having global surveillance. And when they say surveillance, they mean reporting of data and so forth. And on the surface, that sounds like that would be fine. Correct?” Laura questioned.
The Left Stands For Surveillance And Silencing
“But when you get into disinformation and misinformation, I mean, given what Fauci was saying at the early stage of this pandemic with the wet market and masks and social distancing, I mean, all of that turned out to be disinformation.”
Dr. McCullough agreed and emphasized that global health measures should focus on biosecurity, rather than monitoring everyday citizens or limiting free speech.
“We need bio surveillance, but we need surveillance of bio labs that are creating gain of function dangerous pathogens. So not surveillance on one another,” he said.
“And I tell you, I think the response back from the W.H.O. to Trump said it all in their letter. They said they’ve been working on accountability, transparency and cost effectiveness for seven years. Well, Laura, they just got a 20% budget cut.”
The conversation also turned to the issue of WHO funding, with Ingraham pointing out that the U.S. is the largest contributor to the WHO, with a yearly funding commitment of $1.28 billion.
“The W.H.O. is a global money pit. Is what it is. We have plenty of capabilities at the CDC,” Dr. McCullough argued. “Our our health care is not influenced at all by the W.H.O. in the United States.”
