Officials with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security warned late Monday about the potential for “follow-on” or “retaliatory” acts. “We cannot rule out the possibility that some DVEs (Domestic Violent Extremism) or other actors may attempt follow-on or retaliatory acts of violence in response to this assassination attempt,” the two agencies said in a joint bulletin.

NEW footage has emerged showing the crowd spotting the shooter just before the Secret Service took action. Multiple people can be heard yelling, “HE’S GOT A GUN!”

President Biden released a statement following the shooting at Trump’s rally, where Trump was seen with blood on his face and was swiftly escorted off the stage by Secret Service agents.

“I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trumpā€™s rally in Pennsylvania,” Biden said in a White House statement around 8 p.m. “Iā€™m grateful to hear that heā€™s safe and doing well. Iā€™m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information,” Biden, who is facing Trump in the 2024 presidential election in November, added. “Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. Thereā€™s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it,” the president said.
