Kevin McCarthy: Kamala Harris Is the Democrats’ Biggest Liability

In his latest appearance on The Ingraham Angle, former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy laid out a damning assessment of Vice President Kamala Harris’s political prospects and leadership failures. McCarthy, a key conservative voice, pointed to Harris’s history of collapsing in high-stakes campaigns, stating, “Every time she has a regular-length campaign, she collapses.” He highlighted her failed 2020 presidential run, where she couldn’t even make it to the Iowa caucuses, as a prime example of her inability to sustain momentum.

McCarthy also revealed insider information about Democratic Party concerns over Harris. He explained that former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, while trying to maneuver President Biden out of the 2024 race, specifically wanted to avoid elevating Harris. “She has lower polls than Biden. She’d be worse than Biden,” McCarthy quoted Pelosi, underscoring just how much of a liability Harris is seen within her own party.

McCarthy Calls Harris a ‘Chameleon’ For Her Constant Policy Shifts

Polling numbers further illustrate Harris’s struggles. McCarthy referenced a recent New York Times poll showing that while 28% of voters claimed they still need to know more about Harris, a staggering 60% said they wanted change. McCarthy took this as a clear sign that Harris’s track record on issues like the border crisis, skyrocketing inflation, and energy policy is deeply out of touch with what the American people want. “Americans remember what it was like to have a secure border, lower gas prices, and no inflation,” McCarthy said, contrasting Harris’s tenure with the achievements of the Trump administration.

McCarthy didn’t stop at domestic issues. He launched a pointed critique of Harris’s foreign policy, particularly her stance on Israel. He accused her of being the “first person to try to pull weapons away from Israel,” a move he described as a dangerous signal to America’s adversaries. McCarthy highlighted her refusal to attend Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress, suggesting this emboldened hostile actors like Iran and Hamas. “Her foreign policy is backwards,” McCarthy stated flatly.

The Debate is Over

Closing his remarks, McCarthy took aim at Harris’s communication skills, accusing her of incoherence when speaking without a teleprompter. “When she has to speak without a teleprompter, nobody knows what she said,” he remarked, reinforcing the notion that Harris lacks the clarity and decisiveness necessary for leadership.
