From Tariffs to Peace Talks, Trump Pushes Full-Speed Ahead

President Trump is making one thing clear—he’s not waiting for a second term to start delivering results.

Before noon today, the president rolled out a slate of major pro-American policy moves. He took more than a dozen press questions without a single notecard. Then, he boarded Air Force One and headed to Saudi Arabia for high-level meetings with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Trump also hinted at a possible stop in Turkey. His goal: help facilitate backchannel talks between Russia and Ukraine ahead of Thursday’s scheduled diplomatic meeting.

During a segment of The Ingraham Angle, Laura Ingraham described Trump as “a man on a mission.” She compared his energy and output with President Biden’s more limited public presence.

“Before noon today, Donald Trump made more pro-American policy announcements than Biden did in his entire first term,” Ingraham said.

A 90-Day Reset on Trade and a 1,100-Point Market Rally

Over the weekend, U.S. and Chinese officials met for trade talks. Both sides agreed to reduce tariffs and enter a 90-day pause in trade escalation. The U.S. will cut tariffs on Chinese imports to 30%. China will reduce duties on U.S. goods to 10%.

Wall Street responded quickly. The market jumped over 1,100 points following the announcement.

Trump’s team sees this as a clear opening to rebalance the long-skewed U.S.-China trade relationship. Talks will continue through the 90-day window.

Trump also secured a diplomatic win with the release of American hostage Eden Alexander. Held by Hamas for more than 580 days, Alexander’s release followed pressure from Trump’s team. The emotional moment when his mother heard his voice for the first time in over a year captured the magnitude of the moment.

Back in New Jersey and Israel, his family and supporters celebrated.

In another significant step, Trump intervened in rising tensions between India and Pakistan. He used U.S. trade leverage to stop what he described as a “potential nuclear conflict.” According to Trump, future trade deals would depend on both countries halting escalation. That pressure, he said, worked.

Ingraham pointed out the stark difference in how Trump and Biden handle global conflict.

“Could Biden or Harris have exerted any of this pressure? They wouldn’t even know where to start,” she said.

In a final move, Trump issued a sweeping executive order aimed at lowering prescription drug prices. The order challenges the inflated costs Americans pay compared to other countries. While legal challenges are expected from Big Pharma, the administration is preparing to defend the plan.

Ingraham closed the segment by highlighting the scale of Trump’s agenda.

“Trump is firing on all cylinders,” she said. “No one can doubt that we have a president who is trying with everything he has to deliver results for the American people.”

With global diplomacy, trade resets, and domestic reform all moving forward—Trump’s pace has become the defining difference in this election cycle.
