FDA Chief: Data on COVID Vaccine Injuries Was Delayed to Protect Mandates
FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary is raising alarms over how critical information about COVID-19 vaccine side effects was withheld from the public. Appearing on The Ingraham Angle, Makary revealed that scientific data on myocarditis in young, healthy Americans was intentionally delayed. According to him, politics—not science—drove key decisions.
Makary explained that early findings showed myocarditis rates as high as 1 in 5,000 among vaccinated young people. “Some people died from myocarditis,” he said. “Thousands developed it unnecessarily. Many of them didn’t even need the shot in the first place.”
Officials Ignored Safer Options and Silenced Dissent
Rather than adapt the rollout to reduce harm, officials stuck to a rigid mandate. Makary noted that simple strategies—such as spacing out doses, skipping second shots, or exempting low-risk individuals—were entirely possible. However, these were never implemented.
Why not? Because, he said, they feared families might opt out of the vaccine altogether. “There was a strong culture. No one was allowed to swim upstream. No one was allowed to speak up.”
As mandates spread across universities and corporations, federal agencies refused to publish real-time data. “They chose not to disclose the facts—until long after they should have,” Makary added.
FDA Announces Major Shift on Boosters
Now, the FDA is changing course. Makary announced that the agency will no longer rubber-stamp annual COVID booster shots for young, healthy people. This new policy, outlined in the New England Journal of Medicine, requires clear clinical evidence before approval.
“We’re not approving boosters every year in perpetuity,” he said. “You have to present solid clinical data to justify giving them to low-risk groups.”
Makary also criticized the broader vaccine schedule pushed on children. “The idea that a newborn girl today needs 80 shots in her lifetime is a theory that has never been proven,” he said.
Vaccine Injury Claims Demand Urgent Review
Throughout the interview, Makary emphasized the seriousness of reported vaccine injuries. “Hundreds of thousands of people have come forward claiming harm. I take that very seriously,” he stated.
To address this growing concern, a national review is now in development. Makary said it will be large-scale, bipartisan, and backed by leaders who demand real science. “RFK Jr. wants gold-standard science,” he added. “We’re going to deliver it.”
Ingraham: The Public Deserves Accountability
Laura Ingraham concluded the segment with a clear call for responsibility. “Lots of people should be held accountable for what happened—and for the adverse consequences of that vaccine.”
Makary agreed. Despite the data, public health voices continue to push annual vaccinations for all. “That dogma still looms large,” he warned.
The narrative may be shifting, but for many families, the consequences were real and lasting. The demand for truth—and justice—is growing louder.
