‘Disoriented and Out of It’: Kevin McCarthy Describes Biden’s Mental Decline Behind Closed Doors

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is speaking out with disturbing new details about President Biden’s condition behind the scenes—saying the decline was obvious to anyone who had a real meeting with him.

Appearing on The Ingraham Angle, McCarthy recounted one Oval Office encounter that left a lasting impression. During the visit, McCarthy said the President appeared disoriented and unaware of who was in the room or why they were there. After a brief and confused exchange, Biden offered his guests a cookie, then abruptly took them on an impromptu tour through the White House.

He recalled that the President asked if they wanted to “go see the pool,” prompting First Lady Jill Biden to call out, “No, no, they don’t want to go see the pool.” The group ended up outside by the pool area, and McCarthy said he felt the need to help the staff get the President back into the White House. Only after returning to the Oval Office, he said, did Biden begin to “click” and recognize who he was talking to.

“It Was a Different Joe Biden Every Time”

McCarthy said these incidents were not isolated. “Each time I would meet with Joe Biden, it was a different Joe Biden,” he explained, describing how sometimes the President would be angry, other times soft-spoken and confused. He even warned Rep. Patrick McHenry ahead of one meeting that Biden would likely veer off-topic and speak about decades-old stories, noting, “Sometimes you won’t even be able to hear him.”

He also said the President’s staff appeared to wall him off from outside contact and limited his daily schedule, sometimes “putting a lid” on public appearances when major events were unfolding around the world.

According to McCarthy, one phone call during a foreign trip revealed a stark contrast. “It was the best Joe Biden I had ever heard,” he said, suggesting the President had been “juiced up” for the call. But the next day, Biden returned to reading from notecards and struggling to engage on issues that had already been resolved.

McCarthy argued that everyone around Biden knew the truth—and that the cover-up amounted to political malpractice. “This was their Watergate,” he said.

As the public continues to question who is really leading the country, McCarthy’s firsthand account adds new urgency—and new evidence—to a growing national concern.
