RFK Jr.: Fauci’s Secret Bio-Research Trail Led Straight to Wuhan

In a stunning and wide-ranging interview on The Ingraham Angle, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed the disturbing history behind America’s involvement in gain-of-function research and the federal government’s role in funding foreign labs that likely led to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking to Laura Ingraham, RFK Jr. credited her for being “the first person on national TV” to question Anthony Fauci’s role in funding dangerous research in Wuhan. He explained that gain-of-function studies—designed to make viruses “more virulent, more transmissible, and more deadly”—began in the U.S. in 1947 as part of military and intelligence efforts to build biological weapons. Though President Nixon banned the practice in 1969 and signed the Bioweapons Convention, Kennedy said the ban was effectively lifted after 9/11. Fauci, he alleged, restarted the arms race under the guise of vaccine research.

“In 2014, after three of Fauci’s bugs escaped, 300 scientists wrote to President Obama asking him to shut down Anthony Fauci,” Kennedy explained. “Obama declared a moratorium—but instead of shutting down the experiments, Fauci moved them offshore, mainly to the Wuhan lab.”

Kennedy then pointed out that several major federal agencies—including the CIA, FBI, State Department, and Department of Energy—now believe that those very experiments likely caused the pandemic that began in 2019. He praised President Trump’s latest executive order banning federal funding for such research both at home and abroad, calling it a necessary move to prevent future pandemics.

Cutting Waste While Protecting Critical Health Research

Kennedy also addressed concerns about the future of legitimate research funding and the restructuring of HHS. He explained that the agency had become bloated under the Biden administration, growing by 38% and riddled with redundancies—100 communications departments, 40 IT departments, 40 HR departments, and more.

“We’re cutting waste, fraud, and abuse. We’re not cutting any critical research or health programs,” Kennedy said. “We’ve streamlined HHS without harming anything essential to Americans’ healthcare.”

On the issue of so-called “gender-affirming care,” Kennedy was clear: “We’ve complied with the executive order and banned all federal HHS money for gender-affirming research or surgeries. These are essentially mutilation surgeries.”

He also detailed a sweeping effort to detect up to $159 billion in healthcare fraud using artificial intelligence, with support from Elon Musk’s team, to make government systems more efficient—even in the absence of new legislation from Congress.

Exposing the Party Shift—and Confronting the Autism Crisis

Asked about cuts to 9/11 health programs, RFK Jr. dismissed the criticism as media distortion. “Those programs were not terminated,” he said. “They’ve been consolidated into a new sub-agency called the Administration for a Healthier America.”

Kennedy also reflected on his former party, saying the Democrats he once aligned with “do not exist anymore.”

“It was the party of peace. It’s now the party of war. It was the party of speech freedom. It’s now the party of censorship. It promoted women’s sports. Now it’s dismantling Title IX,” Kennedy said. “Today, Democrats have only one issue: ‘We hate Donald Trump.’”

Finally, Kennedy addressed claims that HHS is creating a surveillance database of autism patients. He emphasized the need for a voluntary registry to track what he called an “existential disease,” noting that the autism rate has exploded from 1 in 10,000 in the 1970s to 1 in 20 children in California today.

“Every other disease like this has a registry. This one doesn’t,” Kennedy said. “We’re simply building a system to monitor the numbers and help public health agencies respond.”

Laura wrapped the segment noting the legal pressure RFK Jr. is facing: “No wonder they’re filing so many lawsuits against you.”
