Wolf: Border Chaos and China Threats Demand Stronger Leadership
Chad Wolf, former Acting Homeland Security Secretary under President Trump, joined Laura Ingraham to discuss the Biden administration’s lack of accountability on critical national security issues. Wolf addressed the administration’s failure to provide transparency on homeland threats, its ineffective border policies, and the growing challenges posed by China.
Wolf criticized the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI for avoiding public accountability by opting for closed-door briefings. “The American people deserve transparency,” Wolf emphasized. “They need to know what their federal government is doing to protect them. Simply stating that they’ve testified before doesn’t cut it.” Furthermore, he argued that public hearings are essential to address recent security threats, including the ongoing border crises.

When asked about the caravan of over 1,500 migrants heading toward the southern border, Wolf highlighted the administration’s failure to stop illegal crossings. “Why are you not stopping those parole flights from Venezuela and other countries of concern?” he questioned. Moreover, he pointed out the lack of robust vetting processes and expressed concern over the administration’s reluctance to provide solutions. “They have hard questions to answer, but they’ve chosen not to do it,” he said.
In addition, Wolf tackled the Biden administration’s diminishing global credibility. For example, he cited China’s repeated refusals to engage with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin as a sign of disrespect. “Foreign counterparts don’t have the same respect for this administration because they see weakness on the international stage and at home,” Wolf explained. This lack of respect, he noted, stems from Biden’s policies and the public’s demand for a new direction.
On the military front, Wolf reaffirmed concerns raised by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. According to the report, China’s growing military capabilities now pose a significant threat to U.S. superiority. “We’ve been warning about this for years,” Wolf said, referencing the Trump administration’s early recognition of China as a top adversary. “China is the adversary, whether it’s on the military side, the economic side, or in the Western Hemisphere. President Trump and his new team will focus on credible deterrence and holding the CCP accountable.”
Finally, Wolf supported Trump’s tough trade policies, including tariffs, as an essential tool for countering China. “Tariffs will be key to pushing back,” he concluded.
Wolf’s remarks underscored the pressing need for stronger leadership and accountability in addressing the threats facing America, both domestically and abroad. As Wolf stated, “The American people deserve better—and they voted for a new way forward.”
