NC Resident Sarah Marino Slams Gov Response After Hurricane Helene

In a recent segment of The Ingraham Angle, Sarah Marino, a resident of Arden, North Carolina, shared her harrowing experience in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, highlighting the slow and inadequate government response. Marino, who evacuated with her family, described the devastation in her neighborhood and the lack of essential resources like water and power for days following the hurricane.
Marino expressed frustration at the absence of government assistance: “After 2 or 3 days, we were like, no power, no water… where are the resources?” She emphasized that despite the damage to her home, the broader community was facing even more severe challenges. “I think people should have access to an MRE or a case of water… but I’m not seeing that, and I’m not hearing that’s happening.”

Marino noted the community’s resilience, stepping up to fill the void left by officials. “The community is carrying this,” she said, underscoring how neighbors have banded together to support one another.
When shown a clip of President Biden downplaying the severity of the situation, Marino was visibly upset. “This is a man who’s running this country and he’s saying, ‘what storm?’ while people are floating down the river. It’s baffling and insane to me,” she remarked, criticizing the administration’s disconnect from the reality on the ground.
Looking ahead, Marino warned that the people of North Carolina might be forgotten in the aftermath, much like the residents of Maui. With Vice President Kamala Harris scheduled to visit, Marino had little hope for change. “I don’t have words for her. People need to vote in a month, and I hope they make the right decision,” she concluded.
Marino’s heartfelt testimony paints a grim picture of post-hurricane relief efforts in North Carolina, raising serious concerns about the effectiveness of government response in times of crisis.
