Rep. Luna: We Will Ensure Hurricane Relief Goes to Impacted Americans
In a recent segment of The Ingraham Angle, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna discussed the impact of the hurricane on her home district in Saint Petersburg, Florida, and the federal response to the disaster. Luna emphasized the potential devastation in Pinellas County, where many residents, including herself, have evacuated.
“We’re all anticipating that some of us may not have homes when we return,” Luna said, acknowledging the severity of the storm’s damage. However, she was clear about her priority: “We are focused on ensuring that our people are taken care of. That’s the number one thing.”

The Congresswoman also highlighted her office’s efforts to assist those struggling with FEMA claims, directing constituents to her website for help. “I’ve been in talks with FEMA, the governor’s office, and the White House. We are going to ensure that money goes to Americans, not illegals,” she said, adding that it was unacceptable for relief funds to be diverted away from citizens.
Luna also addressed concerns about misinformation surrounding the storm response, which some in the media had blamed on political figures like Donald Trump. She reaffirmed her commitment to putting Americans first, mentioning bipartisan efforts in Congress to secure $15 billion in disaster relief funding. “We do have funding, and I want to assure the American people that this funding will go directly to those impacted by flooding and hurricanes,” she said.

Governor Ron DeSantis was also a central figure in the discussion. Luna praised his leadership, saying, “If there’s one person that will handle the job, it’s Governor DeSantis. We are working together, regardless of party, to ensure our people are taken care of.”
With Luna’s determined advocacy and a bipartisan push for disaster relief, Floridians can expect a focused effort to recover from the hurricane’s devastation, with leadership from both federal and state levels working hand in hand.
