Jim Jordan: Schiff Whistleblower Allegations Fit a “Pattern” of Leaks to Undermine Trump

On The Ingraham Angle, Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan responded to explosive claims from a Democratic whistleblower that Sen. Adam Schiff, while serving as House Intelligence Committee chair in 2017, directed staff to leak classified information in order to damage Donald Trump. Jordan said the allegations, if true, confirm a long-standing pattern of political leaks designed to undermine the former president.

“Go leak information, staff, and also make sure it’s classified — that’s how wrong this is,” Jordan said. He questioned why the information only surfaced under current FBI Director Kash Patel. “Why didn’t we get this from Chris Wray? This whistleblower was talking to the FBI for years, and yet we never knew about it until now.”

A Familiar Playbook

Jordan argued the alleged conduct is consistent with the tactics used throughout the Trump presidency. He cited former FBI Director James Comey leaking memos about his meetings with Trump, as well as the January 2017 briefing on the discredited Steele dossier. “They leaked that information and gave credibility to a document that was baloney. This is their MO, and now we’ve caught them with this whistleblower who says they directly told us to do what we know they’ve been doing all along.”

Despite Schiff’s office dismissing the whistleblower as a “disgruntled former staffer” with no credibility, Jordan said the allegations align with established behavior. “The main reason I believe he’s probably credible is this is their pattern. They leaked information to friendly news outlets to further this false narrative that somehow President Trump was working with the Russians. It’s all baloney.”

Calls for Testimony and Accountability

Jordan urged the whistleblower to testify before congressional investigators. “I hope he’ll come forward. We can talk to him. We can evaluate that.” He also pressed for answers on why Wray withheld the information from Congress.

The congressman drew a parallel to the treatment of former House Intelligence Chair Devin Nunes, who he said was falsely accused of conduct the Democrats themselves engaged in. “Typical left operation — always accuse us of what they’re actually doing. Devin was right all along, and so was Kash.”
