JD Vance on Working with Donald Trump: ‘He’s in a Great Mood, Ready to Win’
Ohio Sen. JD Vance, the 2024 Republican vice presidential candidate, shared insights on his experience working with Donald Trump during an interview on The Ingraham Angle.
When Laura Ingraham asked Vance about what it’s like to work with President Trump, especially in light of rumors that Trump has been in a bad mood and snapping at everyone, Vance was quick to dispel these notions. “You know, it’s so weird to hear the media reports and to see what they say about him and actually talk to him every day, sometimes multiple times per day. He’s in a great mood,” Vance said.
JD Vance: ‘The American People Are Too Smart to Buy This Garbage’
He highlighted Trump’s resilience, noting that despite being shot a month ago, “you wouldn’t know it seeing or talking to the guy.” Vance emphasized Trump’s confidence and excitement about the election. “I think he feels extremely confident about how we’re doing in the election. I think he’s very excited about getting to work and solving the problems for the American people,” Vance added.
Vance painted a picture of Trump as a leader who is engaged and enjoying the process. “He’s just having a good time. He’s laughing, he’s telling jokes, he calls people and just wants to, you know, shoot the breeze and understand what’s happening in the country,” Vance shared.

Vance was clear in his assessment of the media’s portrayal of Trump, calling it “such a dishonest piece of garbage” and reiterating Trump’s confidence in the campaign. “He knows he’s going to win this race, Laura, but most importantly, he knows he’s going to be able to be a very good president for the American people one more time,” Vance concluded.
