JD Vance: ‘The American People Are Too Smart to Buy This Garbage’
Ohio Sen. JD Vance, the 2024 Republican vice presidential candidate, was a guest on Laura Ingraham’s The Ingraham Angle show, where he spoke on the current state of the race and the media’s role in shaping public perception.
Vance addressed how the media and the Democrats have tried to demoralize Trump supporters and push President Biden out of the race. Despite these efforts, Vance noted that the campaign remains highly competitive, with recent polls showing a close contest.
Laura Blasts Kamala: All Razzle Dazzle, No Substance
Vance was clear in his assessment of the situation, dismissing what he described as “good vibes” generated by the Harris campaign. “Well, I think it’s good vibes generated by the media, Laura, but nobody actually believes it because everybody can look at their checking account. Everybody can look at the price of groceries, the price of rent,” Vance said, pointing to the failures of Kamala Harris’s policies, particularly on the economy and the border, as key factors driving public dissatisfaction.
He further emphasized that the American public is not easily misled by the narratives pushed by the media and the Democratic Party. “The American people are actually smart. And the media and the Democrats give them no credit for this, but they think that they can somehow run a campaign purely on vibes,” Vance stated. He criticized Harris for her promises to reduce inflation, noting that her policies over the past three and a half years have contributed to the current inflation crisis.
Vance concluded with a confident outlook on the Trump-Vance campaign’s prospects. “We’re going to run through the finish line, Laura. We’re going to need every single vote that we can get. But I’m as confident today as when I joined the ticket that we’re going to win this race,” he said.
