In an exclusive first interview since the shocking attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life last Saturday, Eric Trump sat down with Laura Ingraham to discuss the harrowing experience and his family’s resilience.

Reflecting on the contrasting events of the past few days, Eric described the surreal experience of casting the deciding vote for his father’s Republican nomination one moment and then facing the frightening reality of the assassination attempt just days later. “Two days ago, I was sitting with my wife and my two young children when we heard gunshots. My father got up with blood on his hands and face, and we feared we might have lost him forever.”

Eric’s admiration for his father’s strength was evident. “He is the strongest person I’ve ever met. Despite everything, he’s undeterred and unrelenting. We’re not changing anything about the RNC. We are moving forward to make America great again.”

He continued, emphasizing his father’s resilience and dedication to the country. “He loves this country and doesn’t need to be doing this. His life would be much easier if he stepped back, but he wants to make America great again, and I’m incredibly proud of him.”

Laura recounted her own reaction to the news, saying, “I started crying when I heard the news. I was in the car, listening to the radio live, and I told my son, ‘I think President Trump was shot,’ and I was devastated.”

Eric shared his immediate reaction, “I’ve done a lot of shooting as a hobby, so I knew right away it was bad. When he grabbed his face, I knew it wasn’t just a graze. It was divine intervention that he wasn’t mortally wounded.”

When asked if his father ever considered dropping out after the incident, Eric was adamant. “Quite the opposite. When he got off the floor with blood on his face, he started pumping his fists and saying, ‘Fight, fight, fight.’ People have been saying for years that Donald Trump would drop out, but he never will.”

The conversation also touched on Trump’s relationship with his running mate, JD Vance. Laura asked how the two, with their different personalities, work together.

Eric replied, “They’re both anti-establishment, and that’s what the party needs. The chemistry between them is great, and I think their working relationship will be unbelievable when you see what they accomplish.”

As the interview drew to a close, Eric spoke about the future and his father’s vision for America. “His upcoming speech is amazing and incredibly inspirational. This country needs to stop and unite. This room is full of love and patriotism; it’s the best of America, and we should celebrate it.”

In a powerful conclusion, Eric emphasized, “We live in the greatest country on earth. We have the potential to achieve more than any other nation. That’s what my father fights for every single day.”
