Colby Covington: ‘Real Men See the Alpha That Donald Trump Is’

In his recent appearance on The Ingraham Angle, UFC welterweight fighter Colby Covington didn’t hold back on his thoughts about traditional masculinity, the current administration, and why he believes men are rallying behind Donald Trump. Covington took aim at celebrities like Bruce Springsteen, who recently campaigned for Vice President Kamala Harris, and he didn’t mince words about the Democrats’ stance on masculinity.

“The Democrats have spent years trying to neuter traditional masculinity,” Covington argued. “They label it toxic, criticize men for mansplaining, call for an end to patriarchy, and villainize men in sports.” Moreover, he pointed to Hollywood’s portrayal of villains as predominantly straight males, underscoring what he sees as a deliberate attempt to undermine men.

Covington didn’t stop there. He also pointed out how Vice President Harris and her supporters, including Tim Walz, appear disconnected from real masculinity. “You know, real men in America see that everything the Harris-Walz regime does is for theater. Putting a shotgun in Walz’s hand when he doesn’t even know how to hold it properly? That’s just a telltale sign,” Covington said. According to him, this disconnect is one reason men are aligning with Trump, whom he called “the true alpha.”

Covington’s respect for Trump is palpable. “Trump is the guy out there taking bullets, and then he’s getting up with his fists, saying, ‘Fight, fight, fight,’” he said. “In the face of danger, he’s fearless, doing it for the people. He doesn’t have to be doing this; he could be on a yacht or in his beautiful Mar-a-Lago mansion. Yet, he chose to fight for the people and put America first.”

When asked if Trump’s appeal to men was simply about “machismo,” Covington responded thoughtfully. “I think it’s a little bit of both. Everyone sees the alpha that he is and how he stands in the face of danger,” he explained. “The guy’s in a different state every day, facing constant pressure, and people admire that. They want someone who will fight for this country—not a pushover.”

Finally, Covington ended his remarks with a call to action for his audience. “Real men in this country see through the theater. We need to show up on November 5th and vote for Trump,” he urged. For Covington, Trump embodies the resilience and strength that many Americans are looking for in leadership—a strength that he believes is absent in the current administration.

In his words, “Real men see the alpha that Donald Trump is.” Covington’s endorsement isn’t just about politics; it’s about a shared vision of strength, resilience, and unapologetic patriotism.
