Former Obama adviser and founder of Halo Ventures, Allison Huynh, has shifted her political support from Kamala Harris to Donald Trump, citing deep dissatisfaction with California’s current state.

“I was just fed up with what I saw in the streets of San Francisco. I grew up here in California in the mid 90s, and I saw all the innovators and the creators. That’s why I came here to Stanford University to be part of that team. Hollywood,” Huynh told Ingraham.

“But in recent years, especially since Kamala became district attorney and attorney general, things have gone downhill. First and foremost, I’m a mom. I’m a soccer mom. I can’t go to CVS anymore. I have dry skin. I can’t even find Cetaphil. And if I can find Cetaphil, it’s locked up behind a glass door at CVS.”

She continued: “The streets are dirty. I walk to the theater district. It’s full of homeless people. People are shooting up heroin, fentanyl, addicts walking openly on the street, defecating in the beautiful state of California. It’s a shadow of itself.”

Huynh criticized the celebratory atmosphere surrounding Harris, particularly noting the disparity between the opulence of her fundraising events and the realities faced by everyday Californians.

As a child who fled communism in Vietnam, Huynh also voiced concern about a possible shift towards Marxism she perceives in America.

“In this country, you come to this country, you’re born in this country, you have to work for equity. And that’s the American spirit. I really believe in that,” Huynh explained.

“And we can’t be giving out free, entitlement-free titles to people, even if they are immigrants. They need to have the documentation. They need to have the education and the will to work in this country and not just be free riders in our society.

“That’s how we bankrupt the country. And you see that with the dystopian policies in California, it’s not working.”
