Anderson: Vindman’s support of weak policies is failing Virginia’s future
Former Green Beret Derrick Anderson recently appeared on The Ingraham Angle to discuss his campaign for Virginia’s Seventh District. Anderson criticized his opponent, Eugene Vindman, as a “rubber stamp for weak leadership.” According to Anderson, Vindman’s support for Biden administration policies has compromised both national security and local safety. Consequently, Anderson emphasized that Virginia needs leadership focused on stability, not policies that, in his view, promote global instability.
Anderson’s campaign message centers on creating a better future for Virginians. He highlighted the importance of affordability, community safety, and veteran support. Moreover, Anderson explained that his six deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan have shaped his commitment to strong, practical leadership. “We don’t want war; we want stability,” Anderson said, stressing that Vindman’s policy approach reflects a lack of real-world experience. In his view, this approach fails to address the pressing needs of Virginia’s communities.

Furthermore, Anderson criticized Vindman’s heavy spending and attack ads, noting that his opponent has “outspent him 10 to 1.” These attacks, Anderson claimed, misrepresent his military record, rank, and overseas service. “He’s not going to out-arm me,” Anderson stated, underscoring his commitment to transparency and the values that he believes should guide Virginia’s future. Anderson’s firsthand experiences, including the loss of five comrades in Afghanistan, set him apart from what he described as Vindman’s misleading campaign style.
In addition, Anderson expressed concern that Vindman remains focused on past grievances rather than forward-looking solutions. He argued that Vindman’s continued support for Biden and Harris’s policies has led to rising costs and heightened global tensions. For Virginians, Anderson explained, leaders are needed who are truly committed to families, communities, and economic stability.
As the election nears, Anderson encouraged Virginians to consider what’s at stake. He pointed to the Seventh District as a critical seat for preserving a strong Congressional majority. Ultimately, Anderson’s call to action highlights his goal of rebuilding trust in government and protecting Virginia’s citizens. For supporters, he urged them to join his campaign, emphasizing that placing a Green Beret in Congress would help create a safer and more stable America.
