Speaker Johnson: Voters Care About Policy, Not Trump’s Cholesterol
In a spirited discussion on “The Ingraham Angle,” Speaker of the House Mike Johnson criticized the media’s focus on Trump’s cholesterol levels and cognitive health. He argued that voters, however, don’t care about these trivial matters. “The American people don’t care about Trump’s cholesterol. Instead, they care about the cost of living and the fact they cannot pay for groceries,” Johnson emphasized.
Moreover, Johnson, a frequent guest on major news shows, pointed out that the media continues to focus on January 6th and the 2020 election. Meanwhile, pressing issues like inflation and crime go unaddressed. “I’ve been on CBS, ABC, NBC… I’m mostly asked about January 6th and Trump’s cholesterol,” he said. “People don’t care about this stuff. Instead, they care about the wide open border, crime rates, and the weakness we’re projecting on the world stage.”

Additionally, he didn’t shy away from accusing broadcast networks of favoring Kamala Harris’s campaign. “Broadcast news stations, therefore, ought to file paperwork,” Johnson joked. “They’re giving in-kind contributions with all the airtime they give her.”
Furthermore, Johnson stressed that biased coverage ultimately helps Trump’s campaign. “They’re messing with the wrong Marines when they get J.D. Vance or me on the air,” he stated. “We know what we’re talking about, and we push back.” As a result, Republicans are ready to challenge media bias and focus on facts. “They’re running a campaign based on fantasy, not fact.”
During his travels across the country, Johnson observed growing frustration. “I’ve done events now in 227 cities across 40 states,” he said. “Consequently, people are fed up and fired up.” He predicted a big win for Republicans, saying this election, in particular, would be about policy, not personality.
In conclusion, Johnson noted that when it comes to personality, “Trump definitely beats Kamala Harris.” Therefore, he expressed confidence that Trump would return to the White House, with Republicans taking back Congress.
