Republican Dave McCormick has officially been declared the winner of Pennsylvania’s hotly contested Senate race, defeating Democrat Senator Bob Casey. After an automatic recount and widespread concerns about election irregularities, McCormick’s victory marks a significant moment for Republican leadership in the state and underscores the ongoing debate over election integrity.

In his first interview following the announcement, McCormick expressed relief and gratitude for the resolution of the race. “We’re excited to have this resolved finally,” McCormick told Laura on The Ingraham Angle. He emphasized that the results were mathematically clear from Election Day, yet challenges persisted, particularly in Bucks County, where election officials allegedly violated the law by counting unsigned ballots.

“The Supreme Court ruled that a ballot doesn’t count if there’s no signature, and yet they were counting the votes,” McCormick explained. “The people of Pennsylvania stood up in Bucks County and across the commonwealth and said, ‘Wait a second, we’re going to follow the rules.’ And that was a good thing for Pennsylvania, a good thing for this election.”

McCormick’s victory speech was not just a moment of celebration but also a call to action. He highlighted the need for legislative changes to prevent similar election disputes in the future. “We need legislation in Pennsylvania to ensure these ridiculous things can’t happen again,” he said. McCormick strongly advocated for voter ID laws, echoing the sentiments of former President Donald Trump. “I think we should have national voter ID. I’ll certainly advocate for it in the Senate.”

Looking ahead, McCormick expressed his enthusiasm for working with President Trump’s team to deliver meaningful reforms in Washington. He praised Pam Bondi, the new nominee for Attorney General, calling her “an example of the leadership that’s required to make radical change.”

McCormick’s win reflects a growing demand for transparency and accountability in elections. “This can’t go on,” McCormick concluded. “Too many elections have been called into dispute. The American people deserve better.”
