Kevin McCarthy: Democrats Are So Out Of Touch

On Janurary 16, 2025, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill aimed at deporting illegal aliens convicted of sex crimes.

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy joined ‘The Ingraham Angle,’ to discuss the implications of the bill and the political dynamics surrounding it.

He noted that the bill’s goal was to enhance public safety by removing individuals convicted of serious crimes, particularly sexual offenses, from the country, and yet, a total of 145 Democrats voted against the measure.

“They are so out of touch. I would expect the Democrats to talk like this a year ago before the election,” McCarthy said. “Have they not heard what the voters have said? Remember, this is it. Let’s throw everybody out who came here illegally, who broke the law.”

Laura agreed with the former House Speaker but questioned: “Doesn’t that prove what you and I have talked about so many times, the sheer radicalization of this party? It is illegal aliens before the American people every time, even those committing sexual assault.”

The discussion also touched on the internal dynamics of the Biden administration. McCarthy remarked on the involvement of First Lady Jill Biden in political matters, noting her role in supporting her husband’s political agenda.

“She was as much as the president as Joe Biden was. She would be in meetings you wouldn’t think about,” McCarthy explained. “[Jill] was the protector. But this is the problem. She knew his weakness. She knew he wasn’t up for the job. And she kept pushing him because she liked being in the job.”

McCarthy speculated that Jill Biden’s active participation may have been driven by a desire to protect President Biden from public scrutiny, particularly in cases where his health was questioned.

He also suggested that the Bidens may be angry at Nancy Pelosi for exposing his deteriorating mental acuity. “She pulled the curtain back. But it was only after the whole America saw,” McCarthy said.

As the bill moves to the Senate, McCarthy had a message for Democrats:

“What they should do is take a wake up call, understand why you lost. Your policies are socialism. America doesn’t want them. Democrats who never voted for Republicans voted for Trump. They had Trump syndrome. But you know what America had – they want America to be better. They want America to be stronger. And they yes, they want America to be great again.”
