Jordan: Media, Tech, and Democrats Worked to Hide Biden’s Decline
During a segment of The Ingraham Angle on Fox News, Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan responded to former Biden Chief of Staff Ron Klain’s testimony before the House Oversight Committee. Klain, unlike many other Biden aides, answered questions under oath about the president’s cognitive health. But Rep. Jordan says that belated transparency doesn’t undo years of denial from the media and the Left.
He noted that he couldn’t attend the deposition due to other duties on Capitol Hill but was surprised Klain cooperated. “Everyone else had exercised some kind of privilege,” he said. “I figured he would too, being the former chief of staff. But he came in and answered a question.”
Media Spin Meets Reality
To Jordan, the most important takeaway is the pattern of misinformation. “The media tried to tell us forever, the Left tried to tell us forever, that Joe Biden was just fine,” he told Laura. He cited example after example: “They told us that Catholics are terrorists. They told the dossier is real. They told [us] the laptop wasn’t real. No inflation—no inflation during Biden.”
He pointed to CNN’s Jake Tapper as a key figure in that narrative. “Maybe what was worse is you had people like Jake Tapper say [Biden’s] just fine. And if you criticize them—oh my goodness—look what they did to Lara Trump,” he said. “And then, of course, after it’s all done and they’ve lied to us for four years, he writes a book saying, ‘Oh, you know what? He really wasn’t okay,’ and he makes money off of that. That’s so typical, DC.”
A Familiar Template of Deception
The congressman said these tactics follow a clear pattern. “The Left tells a lie, big media reports the lie, Big Tech amplifies the lie,” he said. “And then when you tell the truth, they call you a racist. Or they’ll call you some other name. They’ll attack you.”
Ingraham noted the press often dismisses these scandals as “old news” once the facts come out. Jordan agreed. “Once it’s so obvious they’ve been lying, they say that’s old news,” he said. “Which is what they’re trying to do with the whole Russia thing that came out this week.”
No Consequences Without a Whistleblower
Asked about the lack of real accountability in Washington, Jordan didn’t deny the frustration. “There’s no accountability,” he said plainly. Still, he pointed to one positive development: the Attorney General’s new “strike force” aimed at probing the origins of the Trump-Russia narrative.
The conversation then turned to the Biden autopen controversy. In one interview, Biden admitted to a process where someone else could sign off on documents. “Whether it’s Ron Klain or whoever,” Jordan said, “they could sign the document.” But he cautioned that unless a whistleblower comes forward to contradict that process, proving wrongdoing will be difficult. “Short of a whistleblower coming forward and saying that’s not what happened… I think it’s tough to prove it,” he said. “But we all know he wasn’t up to the job.”
Looking Ahead to Ohio
In the closing moments of the segment, Ingraham shifted gears to Ohio’s gubernatorial race. Jordan threw his support behind businessman Vivek Ramaswamy. He speculated that if Senator Sherrod Brown runs on the Democratic side, the race may tighten. “But I think Vivek beats him as well,” he said. “I think he’s a good candidate and going to do good things for our state.”
