DOJ Grand Jury Probe Confirmed: Tulsi Gabbard Says Obama’s Role ‘Irrefutable’
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard joined The Ingraham Angle to confirm that a grand jury investigation is officially underway into the origins of the Trump-Russia hoax. Gabbard, who has declassified and released documents over the past several weeks, said the Department of Justice is “committed to leaving no stone unturned” as it seeks accountability.
She revealed that Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office had asked for additional materials this week, noting: “I met with the Department of Justice prosecutors today… They have more questions and they’re gonna be really taking a deep dive into this, again looking everywhere to find the truth.”
Gabbard said she views this moment as critical for rebuilding trust in the American system: “This is a necessary first step toward accountability, which is essential for the American people to begin to have any kind of trust in the integrity of our democratic republic.”
Obama at the Center of the Web?
Laura pressed Gabbard on her previous claim that former President Barack Obama orchestrated elements of the Russia collusion narrative. Gabbard didn’t hedge.
She pointed to documentation showing Obama “directed that a National Security Council meeting be called to talk about Russia,” and that a resulting intelligence assessment—tasked by Obama and handed off to John Brennan via Clapper’s assistant—was designed not to assess if Moscow interfered, but how.
According to Gabbard, “this was the beginning of this manufactured intelligence assessment, where they knowingly wrote things in this assessment that were false.” She emphasized that the findings were “based on discredited intelligence or documents like the Steele dossier that was politically motivated, and that they knew was false.”
Gabbard argued this wasn’t a mistake but a deliberate campaign: “They created a lie and propagated that lie in order to try to undermine the person that the American people chose to be our president and commander in chief.”
Media Denial and Deep State Playbook
As legacy media downplays the investigation as outdated or conspiratorial, Gabbard said their tactics follow a familiar playbook: “They are using the same old tactic that the deep state’s propaganda arm and the media uses… They first usually ignore it… then they say there’s nothing to see here, and when that fails, they smear the messenger.”
She emphasized that the pattern isn’t new: “They’ve done this to President Trump. They’ve done this to me. They’ve done this to so many different people… who are trying to tell the American people the truth.”
Gabbard warned that this collusion between government insiders and a complicit media machine continues to threaten American democracy. “These very same tactics they are using now are the same tactics that the warmongers of Washington have consistently used whenever anyone challenges them.”
Gabbard Fires Back at Mark Warner
Following her comments and document releases, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) called Gabbard a “threat to national security” and demanded she be fired. Ingraham described Warner as “taking his orders pretty well” from the establishment. Gabbard agreed, calling him “a reliable soldier.”
She added: “Why? Because I’m actually exposing the truth. As Director of National Intelligence, I’m doing the work to go and root out those deep state bad actors within the intelligence community, because our country’s national security depends on it.”
Gabbard tied the smear to her longstanding opposition to endless wars and elite corruption: “These people… do not want anyone to challenge them… and they will try to destroy anyone who does.”
Restoring Trust or Shutting It Down?
Laura concluded the segment by asking a blunt question: “If we can’t trust [the intelligence agencies]… if they’re going to subvert democracy and subvert our presidency, why are we funding them?”
Gabbard didn’t flinch: “Yes, it is essential—not only to root out the individual bad actors but to enact the kind of institutional reform to make it so that these kinds of things cannot be allowed to happen again.”
She closed with a message directly to the American public: “The rule of law requires it. The integrity of our democratic republic requires that rooting out the truth, telling the truth to the American people, and bringing about that accountability.”
