Chicago Resident Pleads for Help: “Our City Sucks Because Our Mayor Sucks”
In a fiery exchange on last night’s episode of The Ingraham Angle, Chicago resident Vashon Tuncle didn’t hold back as he addressed the dire state of his city and called for immediate action. Speaking directly to former ICE Director Tom Homan, Tuncle described a Chicago overrun by failed leadership and misplaced priorities.
“Our city sucks because our governor sucks and our mayor sucks,” Tuncle said bluntly, referencing Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. He expressed gratitude to Homan for listening to Chicago’s residents, something he accused the city’s leadership of failing to do. “You’re actually doing a better job than the mayor is when it comes to listening to us,” he added.
A City in Crisis
Tuncle pointed to the allocation of over half a billion dollars in resources to illegal immigrants while local residents struggle with homelessness and poverty. He criticized Mayor Johnson for prioritizing illegal immigrants over the city’s own people. “It’s not the right thing to do as a mayor when you have a 14% approval rating,” he said, adding that Chicagoans must rethink their voting patterns if they want change.
The frustration is evident among Chicago residents, who have lashed out at Mayor Johnson during public meetings. Johnson’s response? Ejecting dissenting voices from the room, further alienating the community.
Homan’s Plan to Take Action
Tom Homan, who joined the conversation, pledged to return to Chicago as part of a broader operation to clean up the city. “The mayor sucks, and the governor sucks because they’re protecting illegal aliens, especially criminal illegal aliens,” Homan said. He vowed that ICE agents would be on the streets, working to restore safety in the community, regardless of whether city leadership cooperates.
Homan emphasized his commitment to listening to Chicago’s residents, having met with pastors and community leaders who are aligned on the need for change. “We’re going to prove to [the mayor] that we can make the city safer—with or without his help,” he declared.
Time for Accountability
As Homan prepares to take action, the segment highlighted the growing frustration of Chicago residents like Tuncle, who are demanding accountability and results. Laura Ingraham summed up the urgency of the situation, stating, “If I know one thing about Tom Homan, he’s unstoppable once he has the authority to act.”
The next three months will be crucial for Chicago. With Homan’s return and pressure mounting on local officials, residents are hopeful that change is on the horizon. For now, the city remains a stark example of what happens when leadership puts politics over people.
