Tim Sheehy: America Is In Need Of Comprehensive Wildfire Reform
Tim Sheehy, a former aerial firefighting company owner and industry expert, recently discussed the growing wildfire crisis in the U.S. while on ‘The Ingraham Angle.’
He argued that the federal and state governments are failing to manage the escalating threat in areas like Maui, New Jersey, Texas, and especially California.
“This is the big one that we’ve all been warning about for years, that we were going to have a massive wildland urban-interface fire, which is what this is. Where you have wildfire interfacing with urban structures causing massive damage, killing a lot of people,” Sheehy explained.

“This is out of control. It’s mismanagement from our federal agencies, from our state agencies. And we just left a meeting with President Trump where we discussed this very subject and that it’s time for comprehensive wildfire reform in this country.”
Sheehy stressed the need for more resources, such as water bombers and helicopters, that can be deployed year-round across all 50 states.
“As you said, we there’s not enough airplanes ready to launch. There’s not enough water in the fire hydrants. We need to be ready to protect our people. And when people ask about the America First agenda, this is front and center. America first. Let’s make sure we can protect our communities,” he said.
Laura also condemned the decision by some agencies to send firefighting resources abroad, notably the Los Angeles Fire Department’s donation of equipment to Ukraine.

“Everyone feels all noble and they feel all altruistic about it, but in the end, they don’t have the tools to fight this. They don’t have the water to fight it,” she said. “They got rid of four major dams, I think all four of them, or they’re either gone or they’re going to be gone. But that was a cause for great celebration by Gavin Newsom last year.”
Sheehy called for a national wildfire response standard and further discussed a meeting with the President-elect, where Trump emphasized the importance of putting America first, focusing on domestic issues before foreign priorities.
