Tom Homan: Democrats Broke the Border on Purpose
In a recent discussion with Laura Ingraham on border security, former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan and former National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’ handling of immigration issues.
“Look, [Harris] broke the border. President Trump is right. He handed this administration the most secure border in my 34 year career. And they broke the border on purpose by abolishing everything we created under President Trump,” Homan explained.
“And let’s remember, I’m sick of her talking about the Senate bill… We had H.R.2., which passed the House, which is 100 times stronger than the Senate bill but Chuck Schumer wouldn’t put it on the floor for a vote. He wouldn’t put it up for debate. The White House kept pushing it down. So they’re the ones that shut down legislation that could affect the border.”

Brandon Judd echoed Homan’s sentiments, pointing out that the recent surge in illegal immigration correlates directly with policy failures. He highlighted areas like Yuma and Tucson that have seen dramatic increases in border crossings due to these lapses.
“All you have to do is look at that. The locations where she refused to enhance all the security measures that we needed. Yuma exploded. The Tucson sector exploded right there in Douglas. It exploded. Nocco, Arizona, which is right next to right next to Douglas, saw Lowe’s and that exploded. So all of that area has completely and totally gotten out of control simply because it comes down to policy,” Judd said.
“If you look at foreign policy and of course, border security policy, if you look at all of those policies, you will grade Donald Trump much higher than Kamala Harris. And if it comes down to policy, if we actually vote based upon what is best for this country, it is clear that Donald Trump is the winner.”

Both speakers dismissed Harris’ recent visit to the border as a mere photo opportunity lacking substantive impact. Judd rated the effectiveness of her trip as a zero, asserting that it would not sway those already informed about the immigration crisis.
“The only people that are going to be convinced are those that have their heads in the sand, haven’t been watching the news, or haven’t been looking at this coverage… I believe that everybody understands what’s going on with illegal immigration, border security,” Judd said.
“So this trip is going to be absolutely nothing. It’s going to change nothing for [Harris] in the battleground states, especially in Arizona, which has felt everything that this administration has done.”
