‘Weekend at Bernie’s Routine’: Mills Slams Media for Propping Up Biden
In a recent segment of The Ingraham Angle, Florida Congressman Cory Mills joined Laura to discuss challenges facing the United States under President Biden’s leadership. The conversation covered foreign policy, cybersecurity, and issues in the justice system, highlighting Mills’ concerns about the administration’s direction.
Foreign Policy Failures
Laura opened by questioning the purpose of President Biden’s recent speech. She described it as “bad delivery, bad substance, and filled with lies.” Congressman Mills echoed her view, stating, “We’re seeing Joe Biden’s cognitive decline increase day by day.” He pointed to specific failures, including the administration’s decision to label the Houthi rebels as a terrorist organization. This move disrupted 12% of global trade.
Mills criticized Biden’s limited support for Israel after the October 7th attack by Hamas. “Luckily, Benjamin Netanyahu didn’t listen,” he said. Decisive action by Israel resulted in the elimination of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. Mills advocated for a return to Trump-era policies, which prioritized alliances and accountability. “Joe Biden is just completely lost,” Mills concluded, contrasting the current administration with Trump’s approach.
Media Bias and Economic Strain
Laura and Mills discussed how the media continues to shield Biden from criticism. She noted that outlets like CNN often praise his actions, despite public discontent. Mills called this misleading, stating, “CNN and the media are propping [Biden] up like a Weekend at Bernie’s routine.” He emphasized the economic challenges facing Americans, including inflation and illegal immigration. “Biden inflation has absolutely crippled the American people,” he stated. Mills also mentioned the Afghanistan withdrawal, which cost 13 U.S. service members their lives.
The Growing Chinese Threat
The segment shifted to national security, focusing on the increasing threat posed by China. Laura referenced FBI warnings about cyber infiltration into critical infrastructure. Mills elaborated, highlighting China’s actions, such as purchasing U.S. farmland near military bases and smuggling fentanyl into the country. “China is not just a competitor…they’re an adversarial nation,” Mills asserted. He proposed reinstating tariffs and reclaiming Chinese-owned farmland. “Food security is national security,” he emphasized, urging action to counter China’s aggression.
Justice System Inequities
Laura brought up the controversy surrounding Hunter Biden’s pardon. Mills criticized what he sees as a double standard in the justice system. “There’s a two-tiered justice system that the Biden administration has been abusing,” he said. Mills accused Biden of hypocrisy, citing his earlier claim that he would not pardon his son. “He made that very clear…here he is, because he knew the wrongdoing of his own son,” Mills stated.
Looking Ahead
The discussion highlighted stark contrasts between Biden’s policies and the direction Mills believes the nation needs. Mills expressed hope for Trump’s return to leadership, citing his success in prioritizing American interests. Laura wrapped up by emphasizing the need for strong leadership to address the nation’s challenges, from foreign policy missteps to domestic threats.
