Kamala Harris Comeback? 2028 Plans Include Presidency, Governor Bid

Kamala Harris is making headlines again as talk of a 2028 comeback gains momentum. In a recent segment on The Ingraham Angle, Laura broke it all down with Fox News contributor Byron York and Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow. The possibilities on the table include a presidential run, a California governorship, or even founding a think tank.

Laura kicked things off with humor, suggesting that Harris might be better suited for a cookbook titled Cooking with Kamala. Other mock titles included Word Salads for All, a nod to Harris’s often-criticized speaking style. Behind the satire, however, lies a real effort by Harris to rebrand and find her footing post-Biden.

She’s exploring options: speaking gigs, book deals, and academic partnerships. According to reports, a policy institute is already in discussion. The speculation has triggered questions about her broader role in the Democrat strategy heading into the 2028 election.

A Party Divided on Harris’s Future

Byron York wasn’t convinced that Democrats would rally behind Harris again. “Political parties rarely nominate someone who already lost,” he said. Harris struggled with low approval ratings throughout her vice presidency. “Democrats don’t want to relive the Biden years,” he added. A Kamala Harris comeback would remind voters of that chapter.

Alex Marlow then responded to Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s claim that Harris was rejected because of race and gender. “If she launches a think tank,” he said, “will it focus on defunding the police or becoming ‘unburdened from what has been’?” Marlow argued that these aren’t serious policy ideas. Instead, they reflect why Harris failed to connect with voters.

He also pointed out that Harris, while still leading some early polls for the 2028 election, is losing support fast. “She sees it. That’s why she’s floating different paths,” he said. Marlow even joked that Harris could become a “cheffluencer” and share recipes online to rebuild her image. “It’s a competitive space, though. She’d actually have to put in effort.”

Laura added more fuel to the conversation by citing a Daily Telegraph report. It revealed that Harris has consulted with Hillary Clinton about her next move. Byron York reacted bluntly: “Bad idea. Losers don’t help each other win.” He believes Harris is eyeing the governorship as a way to keep attacking Donald Trump. “That won’t work,” he said.

The Kamala Harris 2028 comeback is still uncertain. Even Democrats have criticized her for delaying a decision until the end of summer. Laura summed it up best: “She’s getting it from all sides.”

Whether she runs, writes, or rebrands, Harris’s next move will say a lot about where the Democrat strategy is headed—and whether voters are ready to hear from her again.
